CAUSES

When it comes to WWII battles, no other battle is more notorious and well known then D-Day.  D-Day was a battle during WWII, which was caused by the Allies consisting of Britain, USA and Canada invading Western Europe to stop Germany from terrorizing the beaches of Normandy and the French boarders themself. The Allies also wanted immediate intervention to prevent the Germans progression and occupation of other countries, especially countries in Western Europe.  Another cause of D-Day includes that the Allies which included Britain, USA and Canada needed to liberate Europe to end the war as soon as possible before Germany caused any more damage by invading its military in another country. The last cause of D-Day also included the Allies desire for a decisive showdown with Germany and Hitler to stop their invasion of Europe. These causes of D-Day ultimately led the joined Allies of Britain, USA and Canada to defeat Germany on June 6Th, 1944.
